Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Review financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Stay up to date with evolving accounting regulations and best practices, recommending process improvements.
- Prepare business and individual tax returns.
- Participate in special projects, such as process automation, system implementations, and financial analysis.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (medium or low level) and Excel (high level).
- Intermediate skills in Word and Outlook; familiarity with Teams and Office tools preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor, customer service skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills, with a willingness to engage via phone, email, text, and in person.
